There are a bunch of reasons to why we started putting on our Car Show.
Let Me Explain
Godfrey Hamon was an original members of the OFCC. In late 2017 he was diagnosed with cancer and after a VERY short battle, cancer took him in Jan 2018.
Having cancer effects people and their family in every way. Everyone's story is a bit different but you still have Rent, Hydro, Fortis, Phone, Car Insurance not to mention the parking at the hospital is horribly expensive. I've seen this first hand with my own mom who has been battling throat cancer since 2015. Hi Mom :)
Every year around July 13th (Godfrey Bday) we put on a car show to support a patient with their battle with cancer. We gather all makes and models of cars and show them off for the day and have some fun.
Some features we have are:
Pop, Water etc.
Coffee, Tea (by Donation)
Beer Garden (Legion run)
We even have a T-Shirt printing company onsite that prints on demand for the show shirts.
We have a live DJ that play the best 50's & 60's music
We have LOTS of other idea in discussion for 2023 show so stay tuned for more details.
Proceeds goes directly too the Recipient that has been chosen.
